But oh well, because we are BBQ’n. Yes, it was 40 “ish” degrees. And yes, the wind was blowing. We, like our beers, were in jackets. Don’t you worry though, we persevered. It was the first time we brought out the grill for the spring (it is Spring right???) so it was traditional summer fare – hamburgers, corn on the cob, and a few cold beers. We powered through the cold today…it is only a matter of time before we all start complaining that it is too hot out.
Opening day will be here soon – and since Mizzou had a pretty much abysmal basketball season it will be welcomed with open arms. That means more cookouts, more baseball, and possibly a few trips to the lake. We don’t have oceans, but “they” do say that Lake of the Ozark’s has more shoreline than California, so it has that going for it. The water may be so brown that you can’t see your feet in more than 4 feet of water and somehow its the third most dangerous water way in the USA, but it is something I look forward to every single summer. It doesn’t really matter what is going on in your life, a few days in the sun and on the water with family seems to fix just about anything.
